Industrial filtration involves the removal of contaminating particles from the air and other gases. Many industrial processes require air filtration and separation systems not only to protect equipment but to also protect the work environment. Africa remains the world's least industrialized region, with only one country on the entire continent, South Africa, currently categorized as industrialized. Industrialization must be accorded the highest priority in the socio-economic development agenda.

This filtration system uses membrane filters. The pressure is applied to the contaminated water to push it through the membrane so that you get clean water on the other side. By doing so, the water moves from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration, thus the name reverse osmosis.
